The Bloch Scholars Program provides a scholarship that covers tuition and fees to attend 91视频, recognized as one of the top 10 regional universities in the Midwest.
The program is sponsored by the Marion and Henry Bloch Family Foundation and the H&R Block Foundation. When you become a Bloch Scholar at Rockhurst, you will become part of a community focused on helping you succeed.

The 91视频 Bloch Scholars Program is available to students who:
- are pursuing any major while enrolled as a full-time student
- reside in the Kansas City metro area (Jackson, Clay, and Platte counties in Missouri; Wyandotte and Johnson counties in Kansas)
- demonstrate high financial need
- are academically promising but may not be considered for traditional scholarships
Note: Priority is given to students transferring from Donnelly College and Metropolitan Community College, but is open to any transfer student

How to Apply for the Bloch Scholars Program
1. First, apply for admission to 91视频.
2. If FAFSA eligible, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2025-26 and include Rockhurst鈥檚 Federal School Code: 002499.
3. Write your personal essay answering the question, 鈥淗ow will becoming a Bloch Scholar impact your educational and career goals?鈥 (800-word maximum).
4. Secure your letter of recommendation from a principal, teacher, professor, counselor, coach, mentor, staff member, or administrator at your current or most recent school. This can be submitted with the application, or 鈥 if your recommender prefers to send it directly to us, they can email it to blochscholars@rockhurst.edu.
5. Finally, complete and submit your application for the Bloch Scholars Program. The application deadline for the 2025-26 academic year is Thursday, May 15, 2025. The application and all supporting documents must be submitted by that time. Any application submitted after the deadline will be reviewed only if there are any remaining unfilled spots.
